Muhammed Nya Government Day Secondary School is in Yorro Local Government Area of Taraba State, north east Nigeria. The school has more than 2,000 students, but do not have chairs to sit on during classes.
students sit on the floor, while others Many students even stand or sit on stones or blocks during lessons. This makes it hard for them to learn well. Teachers also face problems because the classrooms are too crowded. Some students cannot see the board or write properly. When it rains, the floor gets wet, and it becomes even harder to learn.
Parents and teachers have tried to speak to the government and community leaders, but nothing has changed. The students are willing to learn, but they need a better place to study. Muhammed Nya School needs help. The students need well constructed classrooms, chairs and desks so they can sit and learn like other children in better schools.
